Early Paul McCobb Planner Group credenza on tapered sqaure legs. 2 sliding door panels reveal a split interior. Left side has 1 pullout drawer with 1 adjustable shelf, right side has 3 pullout drawers. Entire piece has been pristinely restored in a black lacquer piano finish, the doors are refinished ebonized grass cloth.Aluminum finger pulls are original to doors.


Paul McCobb (1917-1969) is an American designer best known for the Planner Group, his collection of clean, utilitarian and well-priced modular residential furniture that was an instant success. From there, McCobb went on to design many other furniture collections, as well as fabrics, lighting and accessories. His work is showcased at MoMA and around the world at public institutions and in private collections.
