Mark Naylon earned his B.F.A. in Furniture-Interior Design from SUNY–Buffalo, while apprenticing with a master furniture craftsman. In 2001, Mark moved to New York City and opened Modern Living Supplies, which quickly grew from a simple vintage shop to a full-service mid-century furniture destination featuring original pieces, restored furnishings and M|n, Mark’s own line of period-inspired creations with a timeless visage. Located in the historic Garfield building on the Lower East Side, Modern Living Supplies is an airy 1,500-square-foot bi-level showroom that attracts architects, designers and walk-in retail clients who appreciate the innovative work of mid-century modern designers including Milo Baughman, Paul McCobb and Edward Wormley.
The work Modern Living Supplies provided was of the highest quality in both workmanship and artistry. They ‘finished’ the design of my loft while making it more livable and high-functioning. I highly recommend them.

I commissioned Modern Living Supplies to design and build a metal-frame bed with a solid walnut headboard. As a designer, I can be a pain about details. Mark’s attention to the little things really brought something very special to an understated piece.

As a customer, I love working with Mark. He’s so good at what he does and he’s so interested in doing it well.
Judy Collinson, Brooklyn, NY
Working with Mark was a true pleasure. He’s a great resource—timely and efficient, with a keen eye and a storehouse of materials. I couldn’t be happier with the results.
